Despite our apparent remote location we are amazingly conveniently situated in respect of Rail and Road transport facilities. The transport scene is constantly changing and therefore you should contact your travel agent for up-to date details.

Our closest airports are MADURAI or TIRUCHIRAPALLI (Trichy). The former is 2 hours drive from Cardamom House the latter around 3 hours.

These are but a few suggestions. Other routes fly to TRIVANDRUM and KOCHI in neighboring Kerala, but at present there are no direct links with these hubs and one needs to travel by road or rail (or both) which will take around 9 – 10 hours driving.

DINDIGUL JUNCTION is about 13 miles away and takes around 45 minutes by car. Dindigul Junction is a major stop on the main line from Chennai heading down to the Peninsular of South India. There are very frequent trains during both the night as well as the day. Rail transport is cheap but must be arranged in advance. You cannot just board a train, as we are accustomed to do! Most express trains are fully booked!

MADURAI JUNCTION is on the same line as Dindigul and the same trains pass through both stations. Onward transport should be by Taxi which we can arrange for you
