Sadly today much Tourism tends to be “Invasive” in nature. Such tourism is insensitive to the traditions, culture and religious customs of local inhabitants. Only too often one sees scantily clad foreigners drifting around Temples with their cameras clicking away, unaware of the offence they are causing by their dress (or lack of it) – and the locals are too polite to tell them.
Our aim at “Cardamom House” is quite the opposite. We attempt to INTEGRATE with the local community as far as possible and to actually contribute to the well being of our local village of Athoor. In summary we set an example by actively promoting RESPONSIBLE TOURISM. To achieve this we have made certain Commitments. |
